Audition/in-studio: Illusion of Pressure
I was watching the interview with casting director Elaine Del Valle talking about audition myths. She had a great point, that the casting director wants YOU to be amazing. They want to be the ones who find that great talent. For me that's a relief because all I have to do is keep getting better and be that amazing talent that a casting director finds
I have heard this same idea voiced from those behind the scenes. Directors, engineers and fellow voice actors all want you to succeed. Especially once you get casted, they don't want to spend more time auditioning! So just relax and let them direct you and be flexible.
Just keep up the hustle and putting yourself out there, you will have your chance as long as you keep fighting to get stronger at your craft. At least That's how I took it, do you agree?
